Spanish Medical Terminology Workshops
The St. Johns River Rural Health Network, in collaboration with Northeast Florida AHEC, offers a 10 week series for health care professional on Spanish Medical Terminology. A CD of the workshop is made available to participants upon completion.

HCAT
HCAT is a school-based health education program coordinated by Northeast Florida
Area Health Education Center in conjunction with local nursing schools. The
project focuses on encouraging third grade students to increase their physical
activity and make healthy food choices. Nursing students serve as classroom
instructors for 12 week lessons during the school year.
Each 30 minute lesson focuses on nutrition and physical activity in relation to heart health. The St. Johns River Rural Health Network is pleased to support this important community project which is currently offered in Baker, Clay, and Nassau Counties . Healthy Habits
Through a partnership with Northeast Florida AHEC, Healthy Habits is an interactive educational program for adults and seniors that helps participants identify simple changes they can make in their daily lives that will increase their overall health. Focusing on nutrition and physical activity, Healthy Habits teaches participants how they can apply basic food selection, portion size, and movement into their busy lifestyle.
